He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Ellen Kay Brown; son, Timothy Martin Brown; daughter, Susan Brown Andriot (James); grandsons, Jason and Gregory DeBroka Brown, and David and Daniel Andriot; and brothers, Richard (Pat) and Barry (Sandra).
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Intrepid and retired with 23 years of service. He was also a Kentucky Colonel and retired as the Store Operator at Sears-Oxmoor after 35 years.
Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. on Friday, May 12, from 12 until 8 PM. Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road on Saturday, May 13 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In his honor the family wishes to memorialize his life and service with a memorial plaque at the U.S.S. Intrepid Museum. To make this possible, in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the family.
