On behalf of the WHAS Crusade for Children, we are sorry for your loss. It is people like Gary who have made it possible for the Crusade to help children with special needs for over 69 years. Thank you for honoring his memory by remembering the WHAS Crusade for Children.  Gary's legacy will be seen for years to come through the lives of children who are helped. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

My condolences to the Sidebottom family.   Mr. Sidebottom was my baseball coach 45 years ago when I played for him on the Reds (13 year old Babe Ruth team).   He taught all of us kids how to play the game well.  At the same time he was a great role model for becoming young men.  It was a privilege to have known him.  My prayers are with his family as they work through this time of grief.  

Gary was one of the nicest gentlemen you could ever hope to meet.  We met him through our pool league.  Gary was one of the best shooters in town!  He was always so kind to everyone.  He was well respected and always dignified.  We are going to miss him so much!!  They just don't come any better than Gary!!  I wish I had gotten to see him dance with his wife Rosie whom he adored.  You all will be in our prayers and his memory will live on in our hearts for a lifetime.  May God give you comfort.  

Words can’t explain the experience I had growing up 4 doors up from Mr. Gary Sidebottom and the Sidebottom household!!!  Well…I’m wrong;  FAMILY!!   Days on the 5800 block of Rocky Mountain Drive were extraordinary, to say the least!!!  

Gary was not only another Father Figure, but a true friend of my Mom & Dad…Dad longer than Mom!!  What I would give to be a fly on the wall when He, Rosie, Dad & Mom were together; no different than us together in these times…FUN!!!  The way life should be!!!!!  

Heaven gained a great man…and he’s having a brewskie at Heaven’s Hitchin Post Inn with my Parents (and others)!   God Bless, Gary Sidebottom…Rosie, Steve, Danny and Todd!!!  



To the entire Sidebottom Family,
I am so sorry for your loss.  Gary was a great guy.  I first met him through my employment at G.E.  As a manufacturer's rep., he called on one of the people in my office in Material Control.  I am pretty sure I met Gary before Kara began dating Steve.  Gary was always friendly to everyone in my office.  I will include him in my prayers, along with Steve, whom I have prayed for for years.  Rosie, 63 years with the man of your dreams will never be enough, but I am sure he will be waiting for you in heaven.



To my other family. Gary and Rose treated me at all times like I was one of their children--and I first met them when I was a punk kid. Rose would straighten my collar or dust of my shoulder and Gary never made me feel like I was a punk, such that I was. I especially remember being invited to stay for supper frequently. One time I stayed for steak dinner and Rose and Gary plated a huge steak just for me. I looked around and all the boys had one that size. Could not believe it. In my family we split a steak like that! I will never forget Gary's kindness to me every single time I saw him. He always had a smile and couldn't hide how proud he was of his sons and myself.  He enjoyed coming to see our band play and always took the time to offer a complimentary nod. Will miss his beautiful soul, until we meet again.

Gary. Was a great friend and salesperson, he and Rosie were always on the dance floor first at the 60’s shows. Love and peace to the family.  Damion o.

I was so sorry to learn of Gary's passing.  May you take comfort in knowimg that he has been set free from pain and suffering and is now in the comforting arms of the Lord. In time may sweet memories fill up the empty spaces left in your hearts with his passing.  I have found that there is nothing louder than the sound of silence.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.  He was always such a kind and helpful neighbor.  Rosie, if  I can be of help to you in any way just ask.  May God bless each of you as you move forward without him.

     Iam beyond sadden of this news I know as a kid I probably drove your parents crazy but I can  only remember your Dad and Mom treating me and every other kid in our neighborhood with kindness and respect. You don't realize things like this til you get older really wish I got a chance to tell him but you really hit the nail on the head when you said he had no enemies what a Terrible loss for everybody 💔 😔
