Frank Mathew Schulten, Sr., 91, He was known as Junie, Papa Bear, Pops, and Father Frank. He was born May 26, 1930 and peace fully died at his home on Wednesday November 24, 2021. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Frank and Ida Hemsink Schulten; His Wife, Doris Doan Schulten; Son, Steven Schulten; Sisters, LaVerne, Marion, Ray. Frank was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church formally St Clements for 62 years. He was devoted and dedicated to his faith community and his family. Frank loved to be of service to others and was involved in Meals on Wheels, AA (Alanon) and was an Eucharistic Minister. He was a 49 graduate of Louisville’s St Xavier,then went on to the Navy. Frank was a mentor to many during his walk of life. He instructed altar boys, and also coached grade school sports at St. John’s, St. Clements, and St. Anns. He is survived by his Children, Stella Blackwell (Tom), Matt Schulten (Jennifer), Phyllis Johnson (Chris), Bruce Schulten (Debbie), Annette Baylon; Sister, Rose Triplett; 20 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren; His Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church at 10 am on Tuesday with burial following in St. Andrew’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3 – 8pm at the Advantage Funeral Home – Hardy Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Peter the Apostle building fund or St. Xavier’s Scholarship Fund.
