Elizabeth Gibson Wehr, 38, passed from this life on Saturday February 11, 2023, due to a rare form of cancer originating in her appendix. She was born on October 28, 1984 in San Francisco, CA, and grew up in Shorewood, WI.
Elizabeth had a huge heart, a hopeful innocence, and a gentle spirit. Her superpowers were her acutely keen senses, impeccable memory for detail, and an unending thirst for knowledge on unique topics that interested her. She was especially fond of music, loved to sing, and played piano in the worship band at her church. Her faith, and the community she found through it, meant a great deal to her.
Film soundtracks were a special passion of Elizabeth's; she loved the way a musical score could convey emotion without words, and dictate how an audience might perceive or interpret what was being seen and said onscreen. She possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of the works of certain film composers, and Academy Awards season was, in her eyes, the most exciting time of the year.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Gibson Evans; her father, Paul Wehr; and a sister, Margaret Wehr. Cremation of the remains was chosen, in conjunction with the planting of a special memorial tree at the Richmond Cemetery, beside the resting place of her maternal grandparents, Gib and Sam Christopher.
