Elizabeth attended Buechel Church of Christ and was formerly a member of the 4th Presbyterian Church of Louisville. She was a graduate of the Theodore Ahrens Trade High School. She was also a Bellsouth retiree and a telephone company pioneer, as was her loving husband. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in passing by her husband, James F. Cook, and four siblings.
Betty is survived by her children, Karen Marcum Satterlee, John Marcum (Joan); step-children, Ron Cook (Gail), Cathy Mills (Dale), Steve Cook (Shelly); nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 8, at 11 AM in the chapel at Arch L. Heady at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, from 2-6 PM and again on Monday from 10 AM until time of service. Betty will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park following the service on Monday.
