Edith Jean Brown

She retired from the Kentucky School for the Blind after 22 years of service as a House Parent. She was a member of Clifton Heights Christian Church and enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, quilting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Chester Brown Jr. and her son Phillip Brown. She is survived by her children Marilyn Brown (Sue) of Thomasboro, IL, Janice Jones (Boyd) of Louisville, KY, Eugene Brown (Pam) of Crestwood, KY, and Nancy Parks (Steve) of Summer Shade, KY, as well as bonus daughters Melissa Guerrieri and Patricia Mohon. Her sister-in-laws Wanda Delp, Betty Jean Haughwout, Louise Steinberg, and Patricia Reynolds, and her brother-in-laws Robert Brown and Danny Brown, 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, as well as her beloved cat, Lady Baby.

Visitation will take place Sunday May 12th, 2024 from 1pm to 6pm at the Arch L. Heady – Cralle Funeral Home. A funeral service to take place on Monday May 13th at 12:30pm in the chapel of Arch L. Heady – Cralle Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
