Dorothy “Dottie” Franck born on February 4, 1932, a beacon of love, grace, and warmth, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and profound love.
Dottie was the beloved wife of David Franck, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and companionship. They were blessed with their two children, Karen Finlinson (Jack) and David W. Franck II (Cheryl).
Dottie's legacy extends far beyond her immediate family, Warren Finlinson (Shawn), Christina Lashbrook (Tyler), Lauren Franck and Nicholas Franck (Ashley). As well as her great-grandchildren, Piper, Mila, and Lucy Finlinson, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Dottie was born into a large family. She was preceded in death by her parents Georgia and Roy Slaughter and siblings, Leroy Slaughter, Nickie Bolduc, Laverne (Puddie) Staples, Warlan Slaughter, Donnie Slaughter and Ervin Slaughter. She is survived by Juanita (Jinks) Happel, Lowetta Jenkins, Wanda Bacon, Paul Slaughter, Alvetta Sue Bryant, and Linda Edwards.
In her professional life, Dottie was a force to be reckoned with, carving out a successful career as a realtor, broker, co-owner of Gibson Pfannenschmidt Realtors and owner of Franck and Associates. Her dedication and expertise earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients, as well as awards for Realtor Associate Of The Year presented by the Louisville Board of Realtors (1988) and Kentucky Association of Realtors (1988), President of The Louisville Womens Council Of Realtors (1989), Realtor Of The Year (1996) presented by Kentucky Association Of Realtors.
