Born in June 1997, in Louisville, Kentucky, Devin's life was marked by his dedication to service, his love for the outdoors, and the deep bonds he forged with those around him.
Raised in a loving family, Devin was the cherished son of Jennifer and Gilzons Gomez, a protective brother to Kierra Tyree, and a doting grandson to Marjorie Tyree. His Aunt Tracey Tyree, Life Partner Jake Breitenstein, and his childhood best friend, Asis Phelps, were also integral parts of his life, each sharing in the joy and love that Devin brought into the world.
A proud 2017 graduate of Southern High School, Devin's thirst for knowledge and his love for nature led him to pursue further education with the goal of becoming a park ranger at Bernheim Forest. His commitment to helping others was evident in his professional life as well; Devin was EMT certified and worked tirelessly in health care as an EMT, ER tech, and Phlebotomist. His colleagues in the healthcare field will remember him as a dedicated and compassionate professional who always put the needs of others before his own.
Devin's interests reflected his inner spirit. An avid photographer, he had a unique ability to capture the beauty of the world around him. His love for hiking and being outdoors often led him to the serene paths of Bernheim Forest, where he found peace and solace. But above all, Devin cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. He was known for his ability to share his love and kindness with everyone he met, leaving a lasting impression on the hearts of many.

Visitation will occur on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 1-6 PM at Arch L. Heady and Son Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd. Louisville, Kentucky 40222. Cremation will follow services.
