On behalf of the WHAS Crusade for Children, we are very sorry for your loss. It is people like Dennis who have made it possible for the Crusade to help children with special needs for over 67 years. Thank you for honoring his memory by remembering the WHAS Crusade for Children.  His legacy will be seen for years to come through the lives of children who are helped. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

Dennis was one of the most reliable and dependable guy. As long as the office is open, he'll be there with his big cheery smile. He was  always patient, always positive and could stay humorous even in the worst of obstacle. Going to miss him in our next mini Derby party.

For more than fifteen years, each fall, we have gone hiking with Dennis & Debbie, along with John & Therese Thomas. Dennis was such a trooper! Hiking was not his favorite thing to do. He’d get a bit nervous when his key fob would get out of range from his car, always thought we were lost, and kept us on track for meals.  He even climbed up to Delicate Arch in Utah on our last trip together.  He loved playing games, cards, and eating chocolate.  We will always miss him and keep our memories of him close to our hearts.  This photo is from our 2019 hiking trip to Utah. 

I had the pleasure of spending many summer vacations with Dennis growing up. I'll always remember him as the "uncle" that knew how to have fun, especially when it was just the guys. Here's a picture of him destroying me at a game of ping pong during a B-F Holiday party. I think he clearly enjoyed leaving me in the dust. 

Dennis, you had an extraordinary impact on people's lives. Saying you'll be missed is an understatement. 

I worked with Dennis at B-F for 27 years and in all the time I knew him, I never saw him frustrated or down.  He was one of the most upbeat people I ever met, and could deliver one-liners with the best straight face I ever saw!  My heartfelt condolences go out to his family.  Rest in peace, Dennis, now in the arms of angels.

Dennis and me go back about 60 or so years. We grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the same grade, high school, and college. Some of my fondest memories were of us constantly playing sports especially baseball, basketball, tennis and softball. Dennis excelled at all of them and almost had a shot at professional baseball. Dennis will be sorely missed by his friends and family.

I always loved and appreciated Dennis's sense of humor.  He also had such a strong work ethic and was such an intelligent and determined problem solver.  I always enjoyed hearing about his home projects, and he had good advice for some of my own at home projects.  I recall years of vacation stories with family & many friends.  He was such a tough and inspiring fighter against his several bouts with cancer over recent years.  We will miss Dennis, and treasure years of fond memories of him.  His family and friends are in my prayers for comfort and healing.

I first met Dennis in 1973, when I started working at Brown-Forman.     Dennis was a computer operator and I was a computer operator trainee.   He taught me a lot in those early days and was always there to help with problems.    He was so fun to work with and to be around,   He was always happy and loved kidding around.   We had great times outside of work also with our card games on Friday night, with others in the department.   I remember one time when Dennis hosted the card game our snack was Oreo cookies.  He took a lot of grief for that.    I worked at B-F for 39 1/2 years, and when I left, Dennis was still there.  He was there for 46 years.    We maintained our friendship after that going to ballgames, or just meeting socially.    I will miss his humor, his stories, his loyalty, his integrity, his honesty.    He was just a super all around person.    I am proud to have known Dennis and  glad for the opportunity to have sat with him a few days before he died.    I had time to tell him how much I loved him.       

Dennis was a beautiful soul. I loved all the stories and the DIY projects. He will be missed.

For Dennis, no home project was too big for DIY.  At work, shoes were optional, and every issue required a second set of eyes over his shoulder!  Really gonna miss you, buddy....

Dennis was a special guy - always upbeat and making others smile. Dennis was so helpful with work and home project questions. He was patient and dependable.  Dennis made a big impact with his positive, “can do” attitude and his enthusiasm for life. 

Thanks for the love and laughter you brought our lives!  Gone but never forgotten.  

Dennis was one of my first friends at BF and always one of my favorites.  He will forever be remembered for his laughter, jokes and kind heart.  

I played tennis with Dennis during his battle with cancer. I was tremendously impressed with his ability to play so well right after treatments. We should all aspire to live with the fortitude and enthusiasm that Dennis displayed. A great guy...he will be missed.

I will always remember his smile and his infectious humor.  Now there is another angel watching over Debbie and Lauren. 

Dennis was a great story teller.. sometimes you had to be patient, but the stories were always worth the wait...

Gonna miss him at our cabinet meetings... we will toast him with honor
