Clifton E. Bennett

Clifton Erie (Pete) Bennett, age 82 of Brandenburg, Ky passed away at Beehive Assisted Living, Brandenburg on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Pete was a lifelong resident of West Point, KY until moving to Doe Valley, Brandenburg, KY in 2019. Pete was an avid sports fan watching all sports especially the UK Wildcats and the Atlanta Braves. Most of all Pete enjoyed, watching his grandkids play sports. Pete enjoyed being retired from Jefferson County Board Education which allowed him to spend time with family and friends. Pete was a retired captain of the West Point Fire Department.

Pete is preceded in death by his loving wife Rosemarie Bennett, sister Nellie Kendrick, and granddaughter Elaina Marie Dix. Pete is survived by three daughters Michele (Donnie) Dix, Brandenburg, Matty (Bill) Hartley, West Point and Nicki (Paul) Smith, Brandenburg. Six Grandchildren Mike (Lori) Hartley, Hannah Hartley, Eli (Courtney) Dix, Ben Banks, Nate Banks, Catie Rose Banks, Ethan and Abby Smith. Six Great Grandchildren Clara Hartley, Grant Hartley, Knox Hartley, Avery Wilson, Reighlynn Wilson and Ripken Caster.

Funeral Services will be held at Advantage Funeral Home – Hardy Chapel located at 10907 Dixie Hwy. Louisville KY 40272. Visitation will be from 3– 8 pm for friends and family. The funeral will be Friday at 1pm with visitation prior to, from 11 – 1 pm. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery.
