Born in Athens Alabama to the late Bessie Mae Fischer, Carolyn was married to the late Lawrence M, Moss for 45 years and lived in Louisville, KY. She worked and retired from Payton’s/Kroger for many years. She loved entertaining her grandchildren on weekends in the family pool. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and watching movies. She is preceded in death by her mother, her husband, her sister Barbara Davis, and her son-in-law Ronnie Lee Jackson.
Carolyn is survived by; her sister, Sylvia Jean Haygood, her children; Lynn Dillihay, Donna Dillihay, Lori Jackson, Melanie (Scott) Summers; four step-children; Sharlotte (Gary) Utz, Todd (Julia) Moss, Jessica (Brian) Wellman, Rebecca (Edmund) Devereaux, 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 3-7pm on Monday, November 18 at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 741O Westport Rd. Louisville KY 40222. An inurnment of both Carolyn and Lawrence Moss will take place at a later date at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
