Carleen N. Harper

Carleen Harper 83, passed away unexpectedly on Easter Sunday, April 9th, 2023 at Norton Women's Hospital. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and grew up in Florence, Kentucky and lived most of her life in the Louisville area.

Carleen is preceded in death by her parents, Noel and Lura Denham, a sister Nola Cornett, and a son Darrell Kevin Clemons.

Carleen is survived by her loving husband, David Harper, son Doug Clemons, daughter Cathleen Hodge, grandson Brandon Colwell (Christi), granddaughter Catie Elmore (David), and two great grandchildren, along with other relatives.

Carleen led an active life and enjoyed being outdoors as often as possible. As a teenager she competed in horse show. She loved being in or on the water. At various times, she was a tennis player, square dancer, snow and water skier, golfer, and loved riding ATV's. She loved to travel and always looked forward to the next adventure.

Carleen was last employed as the Director of the adult day program for Options Unlimited in Bullitt County until she retired.

A celebration of life service will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven on Saturday, April 15th from 12-3pm with a funeral service immediately to follow.
