Carl Edward Ratliff, age 92, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, February 6, 2023. He loved being on the water, fishing, gardening, being outdoors, and he always had a project going. Carl retired from Eastern Airlines after 32 years of service. He put on the best holidays and vacations for his family. He was an amazing dad, granddad, husband, and friend to everyone.
His parents; loving wife, Jean Ratliff; daughter, Karla Metcalf; and mother-in-law, "Muz", preceded Carl in death.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Kaye Sea (Nathan), Kym Pryor (John); son, Kirk Ratliff; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother, Tommy Ratliff; and many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.
Visitation for Carl will be Friday, February 10, 2023 from 10:30am to 1:30pm at Arch L. Heady and Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Highway, Louisville, Kentucky 40219. The funeral service will be Friday, February 10, 2023 at 1:30pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, 279 Landis Lane, Mt. Washington, Kentucky 40047.
Memorial donations in Carl's honor should be directed to Shriner's Children's Hospital or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
