Barbara was an avid U of K fan. She was a former employee with the San Francisco Music Box Company in Jefferson Mall and volunteered with the Overdale Chiefs Optimists little league football team. Barbara enjoyed Churchill Downs and went to the Oaks every year with her brother. She loved visiting Huber’s Orchard and Winery. She loved going to her camp at Nolin Lake and being on the water. Barbara enjoyed crocheting and made every baby in her family a hand made blanket. She loved taking care of everybody, that was her calling.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nellie and Roy Heaverin, her husband Mike “Chub” Hildebrand and a brother, Kenneth Heaverin.
Barbara is survived by her children; Jenifer Hildebrand (Sean), Jason Hildebrand (Sarah), Leigh Shu (Gary) and Sonia Hibbard (Michael). Her siblings; Roger Heaverin, Ricky Heaverin (Tina), Debbie Kinser (Darrel), Brenda Kay Sanders (Dudley) and Robin Reynolds (Roy). Her aunts; Brenda Williams and Chris Williamson (Danny). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be conducted at 12 noon on Friday, February 10, 2017 in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd., with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Guests are invited to attend a visitation from 3-8 on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 and from 12-8pm on Thursday, February 9, 2017 and after 10am the day of the funeral.
