Artie Louise Fielder

FIELDER, ARTIE LOUISE, 88, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011. She was born September 13, 1922 in Cave City, KY to General Cyrus and Grace Logsdon Newman. After retiring from the Brinley-Hardy Company, she enjoyed volunteering at Audubon Hospital and going on cruises with her friends. She was a very active member of her church, Atwood Wesleyan Methodist and an avid UL fan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Fielder; son, Robert Joseph Fielder; and brother, Alfred B. Newman. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Ballou (W. Charles) and Marilyn Tracy (Dale); grandchildren, Gary Bockhorst (Nicole), Jason Bockhorst, and Sara Brown (Jason); great-grandchildren, Grant Bockhorst, Clay Bockhorst, and Isabel Brown and brothers, William E. Newman (Constance) of Highlands, N.C. and Foster R. Newman (Patricia). A celebration of life service for Mrs. Fielder will be 11a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
