Albert Sterling Thiel, 89, of Louisville, passed away August 16, 2015. He was a retired train master for L&N Railroad, an Army veteran of WWII, and a member of Overdale United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Thiel; and his sons, Albert Thiel Jr. and William Thiel. He is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Thiel; children, Pam Pryor(Ron), Cindy Craven(Danny), Winnie Figge(Dennis), Karl Thiel, and Dee Thiel; stepchildren, Linda Barrow(Eddie) and Warren Cundiff(Joyce); 17 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be 2pm Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11am-2pm. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the sender's choice.
