From the day I met Marcos, I just knew he was going to have a special role in my life. He had a personality bigger than life itself and a presence so rare that we were all lucky enough to come across it in this lifetime. It's hard to remember a specific memory shared with Marcos because he made sure every moment you spent with him was more memorable and crazier than the last. One of the memories I've been thinking about a lot is when I went with Marcos to go Christmas shopping for his friends. I tagged along just to help but Marcos always knew what he wanted and was so assertive I don't think I really helped at all lol. By the time we finished getting what he needed and went back to my car Marcos handed me a gift and said "Merry Christmas." At that moment I started to understand that it was the little things that Marcos went out of his way to make you feel special through his natural generosity and thoughtfulness. Even though I rejected the gift at first and Marcos reassured me it was for me, I knew our gift exchange was one of those moments where we solidified our friendship for life. Thank you for being one of my greatest friends, thank you for always treating me with respect, thank you for always supporting me, thank you for all of our adventures where I never knew where we were going to end up at lol, and from the day we met thank you for being my biggest protector. When words seemed to fail me while you were here I'm glad you know now how beautiful your soul has impacted my life and how I'll always be proud of you. Today, tomorrow, and forever you'll always have a special place in my heart. I'll never forget you my angel, until we meet again.. With love, you know who 💙

My deepest condolences to the family. We got to meet Marcos when we all attended his great-grandmother's funeral.   I got to see his military journey and adventures through his snapchat. We are distant relatives and our hearts goes out to the family. Our deepest sympathy.

Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I know Marcos was your all! I witnessed your dedication to him and his education when he was a young boy at St. Joseph where we worked together.  I remember Marcos always being cheerful and smiley with everyone at the parish center.  

Know that God's promise of everlasting life will give you strength day by day. God takes the best, and he needed Marcos because he was intrepid and courageous. The miracle of life continues with the seed of love Marcos has planted in the hearts of all those who shared with him, laughed with him, cheered for him, and loved him. 

My most sincere sympathy to you and may God and Blessed Virgin Mary grant you peace and may you find comfort in all that Marcos loved on this earth. 

Marcos, I will miss you so much, I remember when I first meet you at work and you needed help in cabling. The first time, our friendship clicked. We used to talk for hours about careers, science, Our Lord Jesus and Our Blessed Mother Mary. But the most special  conversion we had,  you wanted me to be your mentor at work. When you told me you got the position in Mojave, I was so happy, it was an honor to mentor you, now I am mentoring you in Heaven and asking Jesus and Mary take care of you, I will say a Rosary everyday for you, and someday we meet in Heaven. God bless your soul, and your family and friends will miss you, I will also pray for them. St. Mark is you patron saint and I live in San Marcos, so I will always think of you. Marcos, I told your Mom last night what a great job she did raising you. You were a handful, but in the end, you made your dreams happen, and all the love you gave to those around you made you unique, and that is your mom because when I was growing up, she was that loving, caring ride or die, friend. I know mom and son/daughter relationships aren’t perfect, but life isn’t perfect; it seems she did raise you into an amazing young man, and when you guys were at the house, you’d wash dishes and clean up after us; you know she did a great job. You to us, we’re family, and your family is our family because we go way back. Mike remembers going shooting with you and the Hofbräuhaus and having guy time shooting. He was happy knowing you guys were my family, and you became our family. We will miss you, but know your Mom will NEVER be alone! We understand the mission has been completed, but we will see you when our mission is complete. Mijo, we love you and know your Mom will be OK. We’ve got her! Thank you for being a part of our lives and giving us the love you did. We know there are a lot of unknowns, and for now, it’s a lot to process, but we know God will shine the light on it all. I am still in disbelief, life will not be the same without you m&m. I remember when we went to knotts scary farm. We headed over there pretty late not taking into account the amount of people that was there. It took us almost two hours just to park, while in the car I told you I wanted to get on the silver bullet (I told you how I want to overcome my fear of rollercoasters) and get a funnel cake. Sure enough we waited about an hour and half to get on the silver bullet, we probably would of waited even longer if you didn’t cut almost half way through the line. As we were getting closer to the front of the line I started telling you how I was feeling a little scared and you said you’re getting on you got this it’s going to be fine. We got on probably a 2-5 minute ride got off and started making fun of my screams. Right after we got in line to get a funnel cake waited about 30 minutes for that. Sat down ate the funnel cake and I asked you what ride or maze do you want to do? By this time the park was close to closing lines were still long and you said to me I’m good we got to do what you wanted to do so I’m good.  I felt bad because we literally just got to do two things while we were there but he didn’t care just kept making fun of people that would pass by making me laugh. That is the type of man Marcos was he always puts someone else happiness before his and was happy. Your big kind heart will never be forgotten. I will cherish our memories always. Will miss and love your beautiful soul forever M.

I just wanted to say, I am grateful to have crossed paths with Marcos. I was new to my job and very clumsy. Some guys took that as an opportunity to bully or belittle me, but Marcos was having none of that. He would happily tell them off if they were being rude to me. 

He kept me under his wing and passed on so many of his talents. He was a man of honor, courage, ethics, humor, and such a kind heart.

Marcos was one of a kind, with the biggest heart and smile to match 💙 There was so much laughter and loved shared anytime we were together. I’m so grateful to have had the pleasure of having him in my life. He always showed how much he loved and cared for everyone. Thank you Marcos for being an amazing friend/brother to us. Our most deepest condolences to Soledad and all her family! We met Marcos when he was just a little boy at St. Joseph!.We completely fell in love with him! My husband and mom also admired his sweet and polite ways! He was so adorable WE WANTED WE ENJOYED OUR TIME WITH HIM!!! One day we were sitting outside the church and asked Marcos did he like video games and he answered, "Yes" and Alex asked him what system he had at home and he said he was going to wait till Christmas to ask Santa because his mom worked so hard he did not want to ask her. We were so taken by that! The next day Alex and I went to ask mom for permission to buy this gift for him. Of course she looked at us like we were nuts, but later said okay after she checked that we were good people just loving her boy as if he was ours. God never gave us our own, so Marcos was ours the years he was at St. Joseph.
