Waymon Leslie Bryant

Waymon was born on November 4th, 1936 in Logansport, Louisiana to parents Rayford Bryant and Bernice Grantham Bryant. After highschool, Waymon enlisted in the Navy where he earned the rank of Chief before retiring. Waymon also attended the Kilgore College Police Academy and after graduating from the program he became a Gregg County Deputy Sheriff. His service to our country and community was a reflection of the love for his home and his fellow neighbor. Waymon met and married his wife Jean and together they raised a family. Waymon and Jean had five children, two daughters and three sons. In Waymon's personal time he enjoyed his hobbies which included his guitar music and woodworking.

Waymon is preceded in death by his wife Jean Bryant, parents Rayford and Bernice Bryant, son Dale Bryant, two grandchildren, and eight siblings.

He is survived by his son Wayne Bryant and his wife Patti, daughter Susan Bell, daughter Renea Wright and her husband Kyle, and son Tim Bryant; seven grandchildren Amy Hayes, Casey Lee, Eric Turner, Amber and Courtney Bryant, Amanda Garriot, and Erin Bryant; eighteen great grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two sisters.
