Mary Helen Deutsch Tiner, 79, of Longview, Tx went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Longview Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Henderson, Texas on September 10, 1943 to Glen Baxter and Willie Lorene Baxter Ingham.
She attended school in Henderson and was currently pursuing her associate degree in Biblical Studies. She was a mother of fourteen children. Her passion was team driving with her husband Gary cross country. Our mother was adventurous, had a sense of humor and loved to tell stories. She loved the outdoors and loved to talk.
Even though she lost her ability to talk due to a stroke, she could sing and her facial expressions could tell it all. She was strong willed and hard-headed at times using her hands and fingers to get her point across to let you know if she agreed or disagreed. She loved singing old hymnals, especially “Jesus Loves Me” and “Amazing Grace”. She loved her family and cherished their visits as well as having her nails painted and hair braided. She will always hold a special place in our hearts and will be greatly missed
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Deutsch (1st husband), Gary Tiner (2nd husband), Donald Baxter (brother), Kerrie Hodges (beloved granddaughter), and Carson and Caden (great grandsons).
She is survived by her children: David Deutsch, Julie Hinson (Kenneth), Anita Jackson (Tommie), Richard Deutsch, Sheila Clark (Kenny), Dee Dee Whitson (John Allen), Lori Theriot (Randy), John Deutsch (Jen), Connie Freeland (Chris), LaDonna Haines, Ava Stevens, Crystal Tiner, Jeanie Tiner Cervantes and Michael Tiner.
