Dorothy M Proctor

Dorothy (Dot) Marie Kocurek Proctor of White Oak,Texas went peacefully to be with her Heavenly Father on January 19, 2023 at the age of 93. She was born November 16, 1929 to Frank and Valesta Kocurek in Sugarland, Texas.

On June 15, 1947 she married her high school sweetheart Bob. They spent 63 years building a lifetime full of memories with their son and his family, especially Robby and many friends.

Dot and Bob started their career at Clear Creek ISD in League City, Texas in 1952. She worked at the Soil Conversation Office there for many years.

Dot was a long time resident of White Oak since 1962. She worked for the WOISD in the tax office and WO Missionary Baptist Church as teacher and secretary. She also was a Mary Kay consultant for many years.

Dot was preceded in death by her loving husband Bob; parents Frank and Valesta;

Stepmother Iola Kocurek; Stepfather Lawrence Eloff; brothers James Kocurek and Gary Eloff.

Dot is survived by her son Robert Proctor; his friend and devoted caregiver Linda Thomas; grandson Robert Proctor II; daughter-in-law Sylvia Proctor and a host of cousins, nephews and friends.

Dot was a devoted coaches wife and mother of a son involved in basketball, football and track. She was a Dallas Cowboy, Dallas Maverick, and Texas Ranger fan in addition to shopping, collecting angels, birdwatching, snow globes, and anything purple.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 10:00am at the Old White Oak Cemetery, White Oak, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations in Dorothy's name to the White Oak Education Foundation. Arrangements are under the care of Lakeview Funeral Home, Longview, Texas.
