Charles David Swink

Funeral services for Charles David Swink, 81, Longview, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2014, at Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemeteries. Mr. Swink died on December 30, 2014.

He was the eighth son, born January 27, 1933, in Honeygrove, Texas, and had resided Oklahoma, Oregon, California, and Texas. He attended Cobb High School, outside of Durant, OK, and graduated from Coachella Valley Union High School, Coachella, CA. He attended the Bible Standard Institute, Eugene, Oregon. He was ordained a deacon at Calvary Southern Baptist Church, Corona, CA in 1969.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, William Elvin and Annie Missouria Graham Swink; and six brothers, Dwain Elvin, William Robert, Carl Henry, Doyle Odean, Donald Ray, and Roy Neal Swink.

Survivors include four brothers, Richard Turner, Billy Joe, Frederick Earl, and Jerry Gordon Swink; one sister, Delores Ann Walker; one daughter, Marilyn Charlene Harper; two sons, David Michael and Bennie William Swink; two granddaughters, Karilyn Dawn and Stephanie Christine Baker; three grandsons, Benjamin Neal, Michael, and Jason Swink; and one great grand-daughter Hadley Bisera Swink
