

Sophie was born April 21, 1943 in Bouligny (Meuse) France to Michel and Stanislawa (Pietrucka) Dziebowski. Though being born in France, Sophie’s first language was Polish, as her parents had migrated from Poland during WWII, with her three older brothers, Maniek, Kazik and Romek. Sophie’s second language was French, of her home country. As a top student, Sophie graduated Lycee (high school) at the age of 16. Having started learning her third language, English. Which later became her primary language. Sophie also had added a fourth and fifth language, German and Italian.
Having met Steve (Steven) Seibold, a US Army MP stationed in France, Sophie married Steve May 23, 1961 in Bouligny. Sophie and Steve moved from France to Boulder, Colorado in late 1961. Welcoming their son Kent June 7, 1962 and daughter Diane July 13, 1964. A day she was proud of, earning her US citizenship, December 18, 1964. Sophie, Steve and their children returned to live in France in 1965. Then returning to Boulder. After the passing of Steve in 1973, Sophie focused on furthering her education. Excelling to becoming an accountant. Sophie went to work for the City of Boulder. And soon became the head of Payroll for the City of Boulder. She later transferred to the Boulder County Housing Authority.
Sophie married Mike (Michael) Donahue, June 25, 1977. In the fall of ’77, moving to Longmont, Colorado. Creating a true family and family home with Mike and Kent and Diane in the house they purchased together. Sophie took great pride in her home. Her amazing green thumb and love for flowers and plants, was her passion. Sophie was also an amazing cook. Turning to her passion for cooking, she went to work at Family Affair restaurant. Which was owned and operated by another French family. Sophie enjoyed their French connection and friendship. Sophie later went to work for Cheese Importers. Further enjoying the cultural environment of her roots.
After the tragic passing of Mike, March 23, 1980, Sophie married David Pangburn November 6, 1982. They later divorced.
One of Sophie’s special memories was, while still living in France and while working at her family's restaurant and bar, she met and visited with Elvis Presley. While Elvis was a GI and stationed in France. Sophie’s brightest joys in life were her great grandchildren; Trevor, Tiana and Ally. Sophie was a very strong woman. In so many ways. To only include her health. Once being referred to as, the woman with 9 lives. Amazing many with her fight and thrive, and for many years. She fought hard. Now is her time to rest. Rest in peace. Though so dearly missed.
Sophie is further preceded in death by her parents; her son Kent Seibold; her brothers Maniek, Kazik and Romek Dziebowski; her sister in laws Janine and Edwige Dziebowski; beloved cousins Jean Marie Hanen and Cecile Rzyka; nephew Richard Dziebowski; beloved mother in laws Barbara Seibold, Rea Donahue and Lea Pangburn; father in laws Arthur Seibold and Carl Pangburn.
She is survived by her daughter Diane McDaniel, son in law Lloyd McDaniel, step granddaughter Janet (Michael) McDaniel-Possehl, step grandson Troy and wife Tarri McDaniel, great grandson Trevor McDaniel and great granddaughters Tiana McDaniel and Ally Brunner. Sophie is further survived by her brother and sister in law Jim and Diane Seibold; brother and sister in law Jon and Carol Seibold; sister-in-law Dianna Seibold; sister in law Cheryl Heath; Anna and Chantell Sheppard, and many cousins, nephews, nieces, grands and friends. Sophie will be greatly missed by many.
A celebration of life will take place on Monday, March 14 at 1:00PM at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery in Longmont, CO.
