Roy Ronald Weber

Roy Ronald “Ron” Weber unexpectedly passed away at home on Sunday, September 24, 2023. He was born in Boulder, Colorado to Roy Fred and Josephine Louise Weber on August 3, 1950, the youngest of four siblings. He grew up on Grove Street near Boulder High School and attended the University of Colorado. He was a proud CU graduate and Buffalo’s fan.

He married Vicki Burkett on October 11, 1975, at Frist Presbyterian Church in Boulder, and together they moved to Louisville, Colorado to start a family. His daughters Kelsey and Courtney were his pride and joy. He was an integral part of the Louisville community, serving on the Louisville Planning Commission for many years.

Ron started his professional career in business as an accountant at Western Cutlery in Boulder, and spent many years in real estate. He found his true calling in coaching youth baseball and softball. He proudly owned and operated SportShack Teamgoods and ran the batting cages in Lafayette, he thoroughly enjoyed teaching young athletes how to improve their batting skills. Upon retirement, he took his passion for coaching to Frederick High School and was a beloved substitute teacher throughout St. Vrain Valley schools impacting more students and teachers than he will ever know.

Ron was the master of trivia and a good ‘papa’ joke. He was a frequent contributor to the local newspapers letters to the editor columns, built award winning science fair projects with his children, and was passionate about youth sports and his community. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all the friends he made throughout his life.

He is proceeded in death by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Vicki Weber of Frederick, brother Dean Weber (Judy) of Palm Springs, daughters Kelsey (Todd) Riccio of Firestone, Courtney (John) Pryor of Frederick, and four beautiful grandchildren Mia Louise (12), Easton (9), Crawford (6) and Burke (3).
