She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, David Macy; her two sons, Justin and Todd Macy; daughter-in-law, Allison Macy; and sisters Patricia and Elizabeth.
Born on February 9, 1942, in Evansville, Indiana, Rose was the daughter of Page and Elizabeth Jenkins. She graduated from Natrona County High School in 1960 and went on to attend Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. Later, she moved to Boulder, Colorado, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado in June 1965.

David and Rose welcomed their first son, Justin, in November 1967, followed by their second son, Todd, in March 1969. During this time, Rose worked as a special education teacher while David managed the family farms and pursued a career in banking.
Rose later transitioned to being a full-time homemaker, dedicating herself to raising her sons and actively participating in the community. She discovered a passion for fitness, taking up swimming and running, which soon led her to competitive athletics. Over the years, she completed numerous marathons, half-marathons, and triathlons, showcasing her natural athleticism.
A faithful and engaged community member, Rose attended the First Congregational Church for more than 50 years. She was an active participant in the Sunshine Club and served as a board member of the American Heritage Center, associated with the University of Wyoming.
Rose had a deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors. An avid hiker and backpacker, she explored the mountains of her home state with enthusiasm. She and David also maintained a second home in Jackson, Wyoming, where Rose spent many summers. A familiar presence in local hiking groups, she traversed countless trails and summited numerous peaks across Wyoming, Idaho, and Colorado.
Rose will be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife, mother, friend, sister, and pillar of her community.
