Rose would like to be remembered as a grateful humble woman with a great love of family. Her faith guided her to always try to be kind to others. She filled her adult life with raising her family of five, with Eloy in Pueblo. Here she enjoyed several home care skills, including sewing clothes , quilling, embroidery, and baking . She was most proud of her Potica bread at Christmas, and tamales. She had a very picky man to satisfy at times when it came to tamales, he always helped. She had a sense of humor, which she had to have with the pack she raised. According to Jacquiline , she's going to miss her laundry folding skills. Jacquiline reminded us of her sporting skills . She was on a bowling league for years, and coach her softball team when she had a broken leg.
She loved campin. Rose and Eloy had a little place in the mountains just west of Longmont, always brought a special smile and excitement. To Jacquiline she was known as Pyro- Rose, for her love of a large warm fire. "Jackie put another log on the fire, it's cold."
She worked at Furr's Cafeteria in Pueblo and retired to Longmont. Here she filled her time gardening, loved all types of flowers in pots. Volunteering at St. John's down the street from her home. Here she created a special bond and friendship with two of the sisters. Sister Rosa and Emma would do their service work every week, but they also enjoyed going to the movies. The Sisters spent many a holiday with us, and she missed them dearly.
She wasn't a real fancy woman but loved to have her hair styled and her nails painted. She tried other colors but Bright Red always pleased her.
She'll best be remembered as woman of not very tall stature , but as a giant in the hearts of all her children.
