Roberta Kay Lozinski – Wife, Mom, Grammy, beloved friend, and one of the most selfless and heroic people you could ever meet – passed away on December 4 following a courageous 5-year battle with breast cancer. Her family was her entire existence and she didn’t let her battle with breast cancer affect her love for travel and spending time with her loved ones. Her faith was unwavering and her optimism was contagious. She was an inspiration to those around her because of her strength and ability to see the glory of God despite many obstacles. She went to Heaven surrounded by those she loved.
Roberta was born on April 16, 1962 to Robert and Joanna Macy in Longmont, Colorado. She grew up on the family farm and was active in 4-H. She graduated from Longmont High School and went to work as a receptionist for the Miami Dolphins. There, she married and moved back to Longmont to be closer to her family and raise her kids. Her other passions were church, volunteering, traveling, attending sporting events, and hosting family get-togethers. She remarried in 2001 and gained the large family she always wanted. She and her husband opened a franchise, explored glaciers in Alaska, relaxed on beaches in Hawaii and enjoyed traveling with their children and grandchildren worldwide. She was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of taking her family on a Disney cruise this past Thanksgiving. Holidays were some of her favorite times of the year. She was on the board of the Pink Ribbon Survivors Network and participated in other breast cancer awareness events.
Roberta will be greatly missed by her husband, Harry; kids, Amy (Kevin Willard), Adam (Alissa Lozinski), Stephanie (Darrell Holladay), and Chris Robbie; and grandchildren, Lucas, Liam, Isaiah, Dylan, Ellie, and Callie. She is loved by her extended family in Colorado, Pennsylvania, and New York. She was preceded into death by her parents and brother, Robbie.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Howe Mortuary Community Room. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Lifebridge Christian Church with Pastor Nick Cady officiating. Burial will follow at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers or Hope Cancer Care Center.
