Bob was born on March 14, 1933 in Wilmington, OH to Claude and Dorothy (Ayers) Wright.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War and was stationed in Adak, Alaska. During this time he took correspondence courses in accounting, then was honorably discharged after 2 years, 7 months of service.
Bob attended college on the GI bill, and received his bachelors degree in business from Miami University in Oxford, OH, before passing the CPA exam.
He married Norma Alice Walters in 1951, she preceded him in death in 1982. Bob married Jacqueline Malcolm in 1992.
Bob lived in Dayton, OH, Chicago IL, Denver CO, and Berthoud CO, before moving to Longmont CO in 1986. He was a member of the Lyon's Club, Rotary Club, and the Berthoud Historical Society.
Bob was an accountant for his entire career working for Arthur Anderson, Gates Rubber Company, and owning his own CPA firm, before becoming Finance Director for the City of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Norma, a brother Paul, and a sister Phyllis.
Bob is survived by his wife Jackie, sisters Arlene and Sandra, 5 children: Jim Wright, Lynn Johnson, Sheila Vickers, Lesley Wright, and Liz Wright, 19 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
Family and friends knew him as a loving father and grandfather, and an honorable and generous man.
