Richard (Dick) Walters, age 83, died on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024 in Longmont, Colorado. He was born on September 4, 1941 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Ralph and Marie Walters. Dick was an Electrical Engineer.
He is survived by his brother Ron Walters, daughters Sharon Meiers and Cynthia Parker. Granddaughters Courtney Walters, Samantha Parker and Grandson Cody Deleplanque. Dick was preceded in death by parents Ralph and Marie Walters, older brother Robert Walters and Grandson Chase Deleplanque.
Dick graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1959. Achieved an Associates of applied Science degree from El Paso Community College in 1968. Served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964, Lowry AFB Denver, CO and honorably discharged 1966. He worked most of his life as an Electrical Engineer.
Dick enjoyed fishing, train sets, gardening, ice cream, writing, teaching and researching his personal interest. He was strong independent individual and loved by his family.
