Richard Rick Andrew Stephens, 52, of Longmont, CO passed away after courageously fighting a 3 year battle with Lou Gehrig's (ALS) disease on May 21 2017 at Windsor Health Care Center, Windsor, CO.Rick was born on May 26, 1964 in Cold Springs, N.Y. to Richard L. and Mary Ann (Kispert) Stephens. He moved to Longmont, CO with his family at the age of two, in 1966.Rick attended Spangler Elementary, Northeast Jr. High and Skyline High School.He moved to Jasper, Texas around the age of 20 where he met and married Anna Marie Granger.Rick worked as a plant superintendent for two Hart Lumber Companies in Jasper, Texas for over 20 years.Rick is preceded in death by both his fraternal and maternal grandparents, his baby girl, brother Michael T. Stephens and Uncle Andrew V. Kispert.Rick is survived by his wife Anna Stephens, parents Richard L. and Mary Ann Stephens, brother William J. Stephens and wife Wendy, sister Lynn K. Stephens, two step children Derek Granger and wife Heather and Sasha Granger, five step grandchildren Patrick, Dixie, Hannah, Landon and Caden, a niece Christina Ann Stephens, two nephews Michael I. Stephens and David Stephens, a grandnephew Logan M. Stephens, grandniece Kira L. Williams, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.Memorial service and rosary will be held 2:00pm Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
