Pauline was one of two children born to Virgil and Laura, and grew up in Moline, Illinois. In 1946 she graduated from Moline High School, and a little over a year later married Everett Leroy Peterson on July 18, 1947. They were married for 58 years before his passing in 2006. She worked as a bank teller for a few years but soon after marriage became a full time mother and home maker. In 1967 they moved to Longmont from Manchester, Georgia. She also was an avid reader, and enjoyed being an active part of her church, Messiah Lutheran, and her community. Pauline will be remembered for her love of God, her husband, and her family.
