Paul Ferree Pearson was born on July 1 1937, in rural Matheson, CO, to Vern and Pauline Lucile (Smith) Ferree. He joined two brothers, Herbert Vern and Phillip Benjamin and three sisters, Beulah Fern, Dolores Lucille and Norma Lee. On July 5 1937, when Paul was just 5 days old, his mother died from birth complications. Because of a Colorado State Law at the time, Paul had to be put up for adoption. He was adopted by Lloyd Ellsworth and Clara Viretta (Bales) Pearson on July 17 1937. Lloyd and Clara also adopted Paul's sister, Norma. They changed their names to Gladys Norma Pearson and Paul Ellsworth Pearson. Paul lost his birth father on April 29 1940, when he was 2 years old. He enjoyed the people he worked for and with, and he treasured the relationships he was able to create with all of the bar owners and managers. In the later part of his career, Paul super enjoyed setting up all of the Coors taps at the stadium for the home Denver Bronco games. As Coors expanded their territory, Paul traveled to the expansion cities to train the new distributorships to put in and maintain the Coors draft system and helped them install the draft system in the first few bars and other venues.
Paul enjoyed retirement by doing what he wanted to, if and when he wanted to, until he started getting sick in 2019. Virginia, his wife of 63 years, died on March 16 2021. After a long 3-year battle with Dementia, on July 5 2022, the 85th anniversary of his mother's death, Paul died at his home. He was 85 years old. Paul enjoyed drinking beer, Really, he loved beer.
