Patricia Mae Johnston

Patricia Mae Johnston, 87, of Longmont passed away November 26, 2017 at the TRU Hospice Care Center in Boulder.She was born September 14, 1930 in Dixon, Illinois to Fred M. and Lois (Robinson) Peterson.Patricia graduated from Dixon High School.On August 16, 1959 she married Halbert Johnston at the First Methodist Church in Dixon.Patricia moved to Broomfield, Colorado in 1977 and to Longmont in 2008.She worked in the office at Purity Mills in Dixon and in Broomfield Patricia was a home health care aid, a job she enjoyed and excelled at as a compassionate caregiver.Patricia was of Christian faith. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels in Northglenn and Broomfield.As a young woman she liked to draw and paint. She loved animals and enjoyed her grand-dogs and grand-kitties.Patricia is remembered as a beloved and devoted mother to her only child.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Halbert, step-son Douglas Johnston, brothers Bud Peterson and Gerald Peterson and sisters Deliah N and Coletta Cavanaugh.Patricia is survived by her daughter Sonci Moore and husband Nick and brothers Carl Peterson and wife Pat and Jim Peterson and his companion Sally.A remembrance service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
