Mary Lucille Hill

Mary Lucille Navis Hill, 93, of Longmont, CO died July 30, 2014 at Life Care Center. Mary was born March 9, 1921 in Long Island, KS to Garrett and Nellie (Dieleman) Navis.Mary graduated from high school in Chester, NE and Hebron Junior College in Hebron, NE. She married Everett Hill on February 14, 1951 at Warren Methodist Church in Denver.Mary was a secretary for the State of Colorado, a homemaker and volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Humane Society.Mary was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, the Altar Guild and Naomi Circle. She taught Sunday school and played the piano. She was a seamstress, enjoyed sewing, hosting family dinners, gardening and as the wife of an Air Force man was used to packing up and moving often.Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Everett, her infant daughter Marjorie Hill and brother William Navis.Mary is survived by three daughters Jean M. Hill and husband Gerry Engel, Shirley Brenner and husband Gary, and Patty Drieth, grandchildren Brian Engel, Becca Engel, Adam Brenner, Ryan Brenner, Jennifer Drieth, Amanda Drieth and Danielle Drieth and great-grandchildren Addie Brenner-Tuck and Brooks Brenner.Funeral service will be at 2:00pm, Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Inurnment in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Columbarium. Memorial contributions can be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
