Marilyn Elizabeth Anderson Muir, born May 5, 1936 in Teaneck, New Jersey to Thomas Anderson and Fredeirica (Rita) Broschart. She died December 15 at her home in Erie surrounded by family. She married Roy Bert Muir on May 7, 1955 in Renton, Washington. They were married for 67 years.
She is survived by her husband Roy. Sons Michael (Deanna), Timothy (Barbara), Kenneth (Nancy), John (Lori) and Patrick. Thirteen Grandchildren and Twenty-seven Great Grandchildren. Michael’s children Krista, Joseph and Scott, grandchildren Havilah, M’Kenzey, Addison, Rebekah, Kaden, Aaron(AJ), Sadie, Elizabeth and Breanna. Timothy’s children are Adam, Carrie and Brian, grandchildren Austin, Tyler, Rylee, Blake, Jackson and Layla. Kenneth’s children are Nathan, Jessica, Eric and Heidi, grandchildren Nikki, Isaiah, Avery, Shaylee, Alex, Aiden, Maddox, Conor and Owen. John’s children are David and Benjamin. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Adam Muir, Brian Muir, Scott Muir, David Muir, Benjamin Muir, Eric Westlund.
Honorary pallbearers are Joseph Muir, Jason Devitt, Andrew Rowe.
Marilyn enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved gardening, traveling and card games. Marilyn was usually the winner in cards. She will be missed by all.
Services will be Monday, December 19th at St. Scholastic Church in Erie. Rosary will be at 12:00 with a Catholic Mass following at 12:30. Gravesite services will follow at the Erie Cemetery. There will be a reception at the church following the gravesite services.
