Kenneth "Kenny" Gould Sherman born in Niwot, CO on September 22, 1945 to James G. Sherman and LeVerne L. Robertson Sherman. He passed on January 25, 2022. He was raised on a farm in Louisville with three brothers, where they raised dairy cows and managed various farm crops throughout the area by horse and then mechanical means. He was a 1963 graduate of Fairview High School and went on to graduate in 1971 with a Masters from the Colorado State College, Greeley (UNC).
Ken touched the lives of many people in his 30 years as an educator in Colorado. He worked for Boulder Valley Schools as an Industrial Arts/Science instructor and retired in 2001 from Burbank Jr. High. Ken spent his retirement woodworking, gardening, and road tripping. His frequent donations of eggs and produce to the Mountain State Children’s Home earned him the nickname “Egg Man”, a title he wore with pride.
Ken was involved in a number of organizations; the Colorado Rocketeer and the Northern Colorado Rocketry where he could enjoy his rocket building hobby. He was also involved in Larimer County 4-H and as a Little Thompson 4-H club leader. His occupation also led him to belong to the Industrial Arts/Science Teachers Association of Colorado.
Ken is survived by his brother Wilbert A. Sherman, his daughter Brenda Oldfield, her three children, and two grandchildren, his son Kenneth “Scott” Sherman, his two children, and two grandchildren. Preceding Ken in death are his parents, his wife Joyce Hope Brenner Sherman in 2013, and his brother James R. Sherman.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Howe Mortuary in Longmont.
