Joyce Hope Sherman, age 66 of Berthoud died Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Longmont United Hospital. Mrs. Sherman was born July 11, 1947 in Montrose, CO to William and Reta (Lowell) Brenner. She was a lifelong resident of Colorado and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Joyce worked as a payroll administrator for the U.S. Air Force. Joyce married Kenneth Sherman in Grand Junction, CO on October 6, 1966.
Joyce was a seamstress and did sewing for the Little Thompson 4-H Club. She was a member of the Berthoud Music Boosters, Rebekah and Odd Fellows Fraternal Organization, the Bobbin Winders Quilting Club and past member of the Grange. Her hobbies included quilting, playing softball, fishing and gardening. She loved flowers.
Survivors include her husband Kenneth of Berthoud, one son Kenneth Scott Sherman and his wife Kris of Lakebay, WA, one daughter Brenda Ann Oldfield and her husband Ronald of Dover Foxcroft, ME. Three brothers also survive; Ronnie Brenner and his wife Rita of Delta, CO, Thomas Brenner and his wife Mary Ann of Cortez, CO and Wayne ""Butch"" Brenner and his wife Sandy of Payette, ID. Joyce is survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother William Brenner and one sister Judith Hines.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Howe Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
