Joe L Bustamante

Joe L. Bustamante, 87, of Berthoud, died June 28, 2016 at Longmont United Hospital. He was born February 15, 1929 in Stearns, New Mexico, to Marcelina (Martinez) and Abenicio Bustamante. On March 17, 1956 he married Beverly Linda Garcia in Boulder, CO. She preceded him in death in 1992.

Joe served in the United States Army, fighting in the Korean War. He was the owner/operator of Bustamante Wood Products and a member of the VFW and of the American Legion.

He is survived by one sister Marcella (Albert) Gallegos, five sons Mitch (Debbie), Bob (Brenda), Ruben (Erin), Ben and Alex; four daughters Sabrina Steen, Brenda (Glenn) Greene, Marie (Tim) Camenzind, Marcy (Mark) Dulaney; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Preceding Joe in death are his parents and his siblings Patricio “Joe”, Juanita “Jennie”, Mariahilda “Mary Helen”, Bersabela “Bertha”, Alfredo “Fred”, Cosmo “Gus”, Jesusita “Suzie”, Rebecca “Ruby”, Margarita “Margie” and David.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Longmont. Burial will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
