Jack D. McBride

Jack D. McBride, 81, of Longmont passed away March 12, 2017 at his home with his family around him. He was born April 24, 1935 in Boulder, Colorado to Thomas and Arlene (Hamilton) McBride.Jack graduated from Boulder High School and attended CU for two years. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy for four years.Jack married Suzanne Eliason on August 13, 1960 and she passed away in 2004, and he later married Sharon (Lee) Tucker. Jack was a Mechanical Engineer for Rocky Flats retiring in 1993. He was a member of Longs Peak United Methodist Church of Longmont. A former member of Boulder Elks Lodge and the Boulder High School Alumni Assoc. Jack loved his family and time with his grandchildren, his dogs, fishing and visiting his cabin in the mountains.He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Suzanne, a son Thomas Christopher, two brothers Kenneth and Thomas McBride.Jack is survived by his wife Sharon, sons Steven McBride wife Cynthia, Jeff McBride wife Connie, daughter Jennifer Zemlicka husband Leon, step children Bill Tucker wife Kathy, Ealy Tucker (Michelle), Mary Tucker, Lynda Chrisco husband Dwane, April Ellis husband Denny, Melody Lanz, two sister in laws; Phillis McBride, Sara Eliason, grandchildren; Brandi Cobb, Steven S. McBride, Brendon McBride, Ashley Zemlicka, Autumn Zemlicka, Zachary Zemlicka, step grandchildren; Alicia Lucas, Joshua Tucker, Cristiana Staiano, Victoria Staiano, Marcella Staiano, Ariana Staiano, Kaylie Chrisco, Camron Ellis, Katherine Ellis, Sabastian Grayson, Joanne Lanz, Jamie Lanz, Joy Lanz. Numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his dogs Sampson and Daisy.Memorial service will be 11 AM Monday March 20, 2017 at Longs Peak United Methodist Church. Cremation entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Contributions can be made to Suncrest Hospice or Longmont Humane Society and sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
