Hwee Chin Ong

Hwee Chin Ong passed away January 31, 2017 at Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colorado. She was 55 years old.Chin was born on January 25, 1962 in Singapore to Chee Beng Ong and Lian Choo Goh. She graduated from the National University of Singapore. She married George Koh on June 16, 1990 in Singapore, together they moved to Boulder in 1991, and to Longmont in 1992.Chin got her masters degree in linguistics at the University of Colorado Boulder. She was a homemaker, a nurturing wife and mother, and a member of Calvary Church in Longmont and was active in women's ministry. She was also a member of the Boulder Chinese Evangelical Free Church from 1991- 2002. She loved all forms of art and often took classes to learn new forms of creating and hone her skills. Chin loved hospitality. Having people in her home was a delight to her and all who entered. She had a heart to serve others of all ages. She enjoyed volunteering at the YMCA and participating in the LiveStrong program.Chin was preceded in death by her mother.She is survived by her husband George Koh; her sons Meng Koh and Tim Koh; her father Chee Beng Ong; and her three brothers Kok Keong, Boon Kiong and Kee Keong Ong.A memorial service will be held Friday, February 10th, 2017 at 3pm at Calvary Church in Longmont.
