Helen DiSalle was born on August 24, 1932 in Frederick Colorado to Daniel DiSalle and Liberata Villani, she was the youngest of 3 children. Helen’s parents immigrated to America from Cansano Italy. Helen’s brother William was born in Italy and she and her sister were born in Frederick. Helen and her sister Viola were born in the house that was built by their dad in Frederick, Colorado. Helen lived with her mother until she passed away in 1985. Thereafter, she moved in with her niece Mariann and cared for Mariann’s son Kevin. She then moved into her own condo in Parker to be close to her sister Viola. She spent her final years at Brookside Inn Skilled Nursing home in Castle Rock, Colorado.
Helen Graduated from Frederick High School in 1951. After High School she worked for Sterns Rogers for over 30 years and was forced to retire early. She was an avid traveler and explored the world with Ports of Call until the mid-seventies. Thereafter, she would take vacation for the entire month of July and lay in the sun and relax. Helen was a devote Catholic and regularly attend mass and rosary prayer groups.
Helen was known as “Auntie” by her nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Auntie loved to care for and spend time with all of them. Helen was an avid Denver Broncos fan and had season tickets for many years. Helen and her niece Liberta attended the 1999 Super Bowl in Miami Florida to watch John Elway’s victory and final game.
Helen was preceded in death by her father Daniel DiSalle, her mother Liberata (Villani) DiSalle and her brother William DiSalle (sister-in-law Gaetana). She is survived by her sister Viola and Don Miller and their children Mark Miller, Mariann and Don Maestas (son DJ and Mercedes and their son Rocco, and sons Kevin and Andrew), Steve and Michele Hoffman (daughter Paige and son Drew) and Donald Miller JR. She is also survived by her niece Liberta and Mike Hattel and her nephew Dan and Barb DiSalle, her great nephews Michael Dean and Christy Hattel (sons Michael and James), Steven and Jackie Hattel (son Ryan and Gabby and daughter Ivy, son Petie and daughter Alexis and Jordan), Bill Hattel and Ken Hopping and her great nieces Jodee and Mark Hinton (daughter Illaria and son Lorenzo) and Missy and Rich Deihl (daughter Stella).
