Flora P. Romero

Flora was born November 7, 1914 in Guadalupita, New Mexico to Andres and Adelia (Torrez) Sisneros.

She married Benjamin Romero in Guadalupita on December 31, 1932. She came to Longmont with the family in 1946. Mrs. Romero was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of the needs of her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, many different crafts and taking care of her garden. Her family was very important to her.

Her husband; a son, Leroy Romero; a daughter, Lorraine Martin; a brother, Eloy Graham and sisters, Ida Castellano and Antonita Graham, preceded her in death.

Flora is survived by 4 sons: David Romero and his wife Victoria of Denver, CO, Alvin Romero of Longmont, Roger Romero of Santa Maria, CA, and Ronald Romero of Longmont; by 9 daughters: Georgia Najera and her husband Tony of Longmont, Eleanor Romero and her husband Sam of Guadalupita, NM, Mabel Enneking and her husband Kevin of Pine, CO, Pauline Romero of Westminster, CO, Juliet Chastain of King City, OR, Lillian Barela and her husband Charles of Montbello, CO, Brittany Montion of Belview, WA, Darlene Romero and Liz Romero, both of Longmont. She is also survived by 35 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren and 3 sisters: Mary Garcia of San Francisco, CA, Virginia Lovato of Las Vegas, NM, and Rose Pfeifle of Lodi, CA.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Howe Mortuary with a Vigil Service to begin at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 3 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with the Reverend Hernan Florez as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
