We know Chris Cooley and his wife Jessica and their beautiful kids and we have heard so many amazing things about Eldred and what a remarkable man he was in life. We are so sorry for the loss his family and friends are feeling at this time and though we know that no words can ease your pain we hope that the special memories that he left behind will bring some comfort at this time. I’m so sorry Aunt Barbara, Allen, Kathy, Janet, Kevin and Kim. We had a lot of fun when you guys lived on the farm in Illinois. He’ll be missed.

Eldred was a good man. He will be missed. 

Eldred and Barb have been my neighbors for 26 1/2 years.  I am so very saddened to hear of his passing.  Eldred has been a wonderful friend and the epitome of the perfect neighbor!  My most recent memory was of him sneaking down here to get some of my green tomatoes.   The weather was looking to drop in temperature and I had a lot of tomatoes still of the vines.  I let him know he could help himself anytime and I filled his walker basket twice or three times.   Over the years, Eldred took it upon himself to shovel my walks after my own husband passed away.   For a long time I didn't know it was him because he usually did it so early in the morning,  and I don't remember how I found out,  I just know what a blessing it was to me.   
I could keep going on with so many more memories, because that's just who Eldred was - a man who left an imprint on you.  He will be missed tremendously by all who love him!  Eldred, we love you!
