Claire will be forever remembered by her children, Vicki Hendricks, Debbie Due, Jennifer Feebeck, and Anthony Due; and grandchildren, Benjamin Hendricks, Corinne Silverberg, Megan Feebeck, Emily Feebeck, Jessica Brooks, Anthony Due, Jr., and Lee Due; also, her step-children Julie McMullen and Jonathan Robinson and their children, Scott Shaefer, Jonathan Robinson, Jr., Caitlin Robinson, Leeanne Robinson, and Jennifer Robinson. She was preceded in death by her first husband Vincent (Tony) Due and her husband Guy Robinson; as well as her parents, Loretta Carnahan and Earl Charles, and loving step-father John Carnahan.
Growing up in Covington, Kentucky, Claire graduated from Holy Cross High School and enjoyed playing piano, favoring Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue.” Later, she moved with her husband, Tony, to Pensacola, Florida, then to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she raised her children and survived the death of her husband at age 41. In 1977 she met Guy. They married and together moved to Longmont, Colorado, in 1978. At first, they were employed at Staodynamics, but soon opened their own company, Industrial Tooling Services, Inc. in Berthoud. Claire and Guy sold the business to Parkway Products in 1997 and retired, first cruising Alaska, and then traveling in their motor home with their canine companions, until Guy’s sudden death in 1999.
Claire enjoyed adventures to Deadwood and other Longmont Senior Center destinations. She experienced London and Paris in the summer of 2000. Since 2017 she has resided at Hover Senior Living Community, watching her favorite show, Everybody Loves Raymond; playing Bingo, and dining with her friends, Mary Neal and Jim.
Notably, Claire loved animals, dogs most of all, and she will now be happily reunited with her canine friends, all of whom she missed dearly. She often welcomed Abbie Feebeck, a spirited Jack Russell-Corgi mix, as a favored visitor to her room at Hover Manor, and together they spent many joyful petting moments.
Claire’s memorial mass will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 323 Collyer Street, Longmont, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 6, to be followed by Inurnment at Foothills Garden of Memory, with a reception at Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman Street.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Longmont Humane Society to honor Claire.
