Bonnie Dee Darling

Bonnie Dee Rehwoldt Darling of Longmont, Colorado, died Sunday, January 27, 2008 at her home following brief illness. She was 73 years old.Born January 18, 1935 in Hygiene, Colorado, to Paul and Lola (Hawkins) Rehwoldt, Bonnie was raised on her family's farm near Niwot, Colorado. Her family later moved to Longmont and she graduated from Longmont High School in 1952.On February 28, 1954, Bonnie married Ronald Gene Darling. The couple made their home in Longmont.While primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Darling had worked at Country Buffet for 14 years before retiring in 2007. She enjoyed picnics in the mountains, bowling, and dancing.She will be missed by her husband, Ron Darling of Longmont; her daughter, Diana Darling of Longmont; and her brothers, Duane Rehwoldt and his wife, Elaine, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Larry Rehwoldt and his wife, Nancy, of Satellite Beach, Florida.Visitation will be held at Howe Mortuary from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2008, followed by a reception at the Longmont Elks Lodge.
