Beverly Jean Johnston

Beverly Jean Johnston was born on July 3, 1939 in Frederick, CO to William A. Brewer and Catherine Brewer (Terry). She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on September 27, 2023, at the age of 84.

Beverly was one of seven children born to William and Catherine, and grew up in Frederick. Later she met John E. Johnston, to whom she married November 8, 1957. Together they had four children; Rickey, Kimberly, Kaylene, and Johnna. She and John were married for 49 years before his passing in September of 2007. Beverly was a mom and a homemaker who went to Rocky Mountain Bible Baptist, and frequently attended Bible Study there. She loved Bible Study, as well as collecting and gardening.

Beverly is preceded in death by her husband John Johnston; her parents William & Catherine; her brother and two sisters, as well as her son Rickey D. Johnston. She is survived by her daughters Kimberly R. Slickmeyer, Kaylene Johnston Martinez, and Johnna Sloane; three sisters; 13 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00am Thursday, 10/05/2023 at Rocky Mountain Bible Baptist Church, followed by burial at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s by visiting www.stjude.org .
