Andrew Robert Phillips was born on September 4, 1974 in Denver, Colorado to Gerry Phillips and Sandra Phillips (Frazer). He died peacefully on June 26, 2023. Andy was labeled early in life with autism, cerebral palsy and Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome. These labels did not stop Andy from displaying his cheerful personality to all who knew him. Andy had a mischievous side that would emerge when his brown eyes twinkled, often with contagious laughter and one never knew what he was up to. He was a man of few words but helped others gain an appreciation for those with disabilities. There is no doubt that Andy felt cherished by family members, loved by providers and remembered fondly by those who came into contact with him.
Sandy and Gerry gave Andy their dedication and commitment to his well-being from the day he was born. They helped pave the way, not only for Andy, but for other families with disabilities by being proactive in every community for which they were a part. The love only multiplied when John and Gloria became step-parents.
Andy is survived by parents, Gerry and step-mother Gloria Phillips, Sandra and step-fatherJohn Frazer, sister Holly (Nicholaus) Slater, brother Todd Phillips and nieces Isabella, Pennelope, Adelaide, Cecelia and Emmalyn, He was preceded in death by grandparents Elma and Earl Phillips and Lloyd and Ruth Lund.
