Alex Michael Graham left the earth on April 20th, 2017. He was born September 1st 1992 in Boulder Colorado to Michael and Marni Graham. He was a loyal and loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Alex’s favorite times were spent working out at the Longmont Athletic Club, hiking, fishing, hunting, and anything outdoors. He was gifted and excelled at everything he did both personally and professionally.
He graduated with a 4.0 GPA from Skyline High School in 2011 where he was well known as a state wrestler and athlete. He was a three time state qualifier placing 4th his Junior Year and 3rd his Senior Year. Alex was adored by all of his teachers, and remained in contact with many of them over the years.
Alex proudly graduated from CSU in 2015 with a Bachelor of Natural Sciences in Biochemistry. Alex was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity where he met many lifelong friends and mentors. Throughout college Alex participated in the ROTC program and upon graduation he became a Commissioned Officer of the United States Army National Guard. Most recently Alex was working for Amgen as a Biochemist and was a First Lieutenant Field Artillery Officer for the Army National Guard.
He is survived by his beloved parents Michael and Marni Graham; a sister Chelsey (Kevyn) Anthony; a nephew Chancellor Anthony; as well as grandmothers Barbara Caudillo and Susan Caudillo. Alex also left behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. Alex will be missed by hundreds of his family members, friends, and military brothers. He is preceded in death by his cherished maternal Grandfather (Papa) Martin Caudillo and his paternal Grandparents Robert and Francie Graham.
There is NOTHING that Alex couldn’t do. His infectious smile and positive attitude could light up any room and he was loved by too many people to count. His hugs warmed every heart and he was always there for you whenever you needed something. Alex was a young man who had an old soul, was charming, sweet, witty, and always had a quick come back. Words could never describe the void we feel without him in our lives.
Though you’ve passed on before us
You’re Always in our hearts
And though we are not together
We’ll never be apart.
To lose you when you were so young
Leave’s such an empty space,
Our only consolation-
You’re in a better place.
Put your arms around him Lord
And treasure him with care.
For you have in your possession
A brother beyond compare.
