Dorothy Marie French

Dorothy Marie French was 93 when she passed away October 22, 2013. She was born August 31, 1920 in West Salem, WI to George and Lily Foster. She was raised in Bangor, WI, where she graduated from high school as salutatorian of her class. She also attended Rock Valley College, Rockford, IL. She enjoyed reading and music, and was a lifetime(50+ year) member of Eastern Star. She worked as a stenographer/secretary for many years and for 20 years at the Northern Illinois Building Contractors Assn.(NIBCA). She was a loving wife to Charles V. French, who predeceased her 6 1/2 years ago. She was a wonderful and loving mother to Mary, Sarah(William), and Margaret(Michael), and to granddaughters Katherine, Christine, Elizabeth, Anna, and Leah. Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Bangor, WI at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Arrangements will be handled by Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home, 200 West Avenue South, LaCrosse, WI 54601 (888) 781-5623. Memorial gifts may be donated to the Salvation Army.
