Passed peacefully surrounded by family at St. Joseph’s Hospice on July 10, 2017, Jeremiah Francis Stapleton “Jerry” of London, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, in his 87th year. Loving father of Patrick Stapleton (Jennifer). He will be sadly missed by his partner Betty Squire. He will also be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews and remembered for his kindness and devotion to family. Jerry was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Mary Stapleton (2009) and his sister Mary Gaffney. A special thank you to the staff and nurses at St. Joseph’s Hospice and University Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Visitation will be held at Needham Funeral Home (520 Dundas St, London) on Thursday from 5-8 pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday July 14, 2017 at 11:30 pm at St. Andrew the Apostle Church (1 Fallon Ln, London). Cremation to follow.
