Predeceased by father “Dick” Clayton (1977); mother Nettie Clayton (1990); brother Don (2011); sister Joyce (2022) and son Jeff (2010).
Survived by his loving wife Chris; brother Ted (Tony). Loving father of Joe, Jim (Bob) and daughter-in-law Joan. Stepfather to Kelly (Steve), Becky (Gord), Britney and Katelyn. Grandfather to Chad. He will also be remembered by his step-grandchildren and their families.
Fred leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and so many wonderful neighbours and friends.
He will be sadly missed by his loyal and loving dog, “Oliver”.
Fred was self-employed at Clayton Sheet Metal and as such a longtime contractor at Ford Motor Co. in Talbotville. He was a member of SMWIA Local 473. He later started a second business, White Oak Storage. He belonged to the Lions Club, and played Huff n’ Puff Hockey for many years. His passions were baseball, fishing, boating, RVing and walking in nature with his dog.
He was a large lover of life. To know Fred was to love Fred.
A visitation will take place on June 6th, beginning at 4pm and going until 8pm at Needham Funeral Service (520 Dundas Street, London). A Funeral Service will take place the following day, June 7th also at Needham Funeral Service with the doors opening at 10am, and service beginning at 11am.
Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
